Phlebotomist - a blood collector

Responsibilities

My primary role is to safely and accurately collect quality blood specimens for our laboratory, while at the same time providing high-quality care to our patients. We do this in Aotea Pathology’s collection rooms, rest homes and in a patient’s home.

Most rewarding part of your job

I’m lucky to work with such a diverse cultural group of patients and colleagues, and to be part of a team of experienced phlebotomists.

How do you most enjoy spending time outside work

I enjoy gardening, reading, watching movies, biking and walking with friends.

Health tip

Exercise is enjoyable when shared with friends.

Something your colleagues may not know about you

Time allowing, I enjoy restoring old furniture.
