Turnaround time Our aim is to maintain the current prompt turnaround times including urgent testing where there is clinical need. To achieve this we have planned our combined collection and courier system to work as efficiently as possible to ensure that specimens are delivered promptly to the main testing laboratory at all times of the day. For example sample sorting and data entry is undertaken in our main hub rooms at Porirua, Raroa Road and Courtenay Place. This allows ready sample identification and tracking throughout the process. Couriers leave collections rooms and main hubs on a regular basis to take specimens to the Courtenay Place laboratory. We closely monitor turn around times to ensure that service standards for urgent and routine testing as prescribed in our contract with the DHB are met or bettered. If you have any concerns or comments please let us know. This is helpful for us to identify problems and address them promptly.
